The Most Darling Little Chairs

It’s been ages since I’ve hit the thrift store, namely because my crazy, pressed-for-time self has at least 14 upcoming projects (click HEREfor a look at my thrift store collection) just aching to be prettied up. And that’s not including all the other stuff I need to do, like paint baseboards……paint the basement…….rehab the laundry room……Seriously, how does a full-time working Mom get it all in? Maybe I need a sister wife….HA! (j/k).Anyhow, I knew I didn’t need to come lugging more thrift goodies home, but when I saw these two darling little chairs, I knew these babies must get stuffed in my trunk!

Vintage chairs ~ $12.00 each
Thursdays at my favorite thrift store are “Customer Appreciation” days, where you save 25% off everything when using your Value Card (can you believe thrift stores have Value Cards???). Hellz yeah!! That’s why I love Thursdays! It almost pains me to pay full-price on any other day….But with thrift stores, you have to buy it when you see it; otherwise, it probably won’t be there when you come back!
I love the solid wood frames on these chairs, and the criss-cross pattern, which is so fun…..Imaging painting those criss-cross parts a totally different color! That would be so interesting!
….And the legs were very antique-y.
Can’t you just imagine some yummy, pretty fabric covering those seats, with splashes of vibrant color slathered all over them?! Seriously, the possibilities are endless!

But first, I must decide where and how I’ll be using these chairs. This vanity I bought a few weeks ago and have yet to paint, will need a chair, and although the style of legs are different (who cares??), it’s the perfect sized, armless chair for it.

I’m also considering using one of the chairs in my sons’ room, with is desk that hubby and I found for FREE sitting on the curb of our housing development and lugged back to our house at 3 a.m. in the middle of the night! (HA! Now that was funny!)
I haven’t gotten around to painting this desk yet, or decorating this part of the kids’ room. And please don’t mind that god-awful world map tacked up with tape. LOL. (But whatcha think of that $2.00 world globe bought at a yard sale? Sweet deal!)
Anyhow, lots of ideas on where to put those chairs.
What do you guys think?? Split up the chairs for practical reasons?? Or, keep them as a pair?
